By Brandon Swenson
Lenexa, Kan., July 3, 2018 — Summer is scholarship season at Grantham University and Grantham is excited to announce the open application period for two of its most prestigious scholarships – the David “Bull” Baker and Eugene “Gene” Jewett Memorial scholarships.
The David “Bull” Baker Memorial Scholarship commemorates the lifetime contributions of its namesake, former Air Force POW and Grantham Board of Governors member. It can be used for either an undergraduate or graduate degree at Grantham, and is open to all members of the U.S. Air Force, whether active duty, reservist, or Air National Guard member. The Eugene “Gene” Jewett Memorial Scholarship is open to any Grantham student pursuing a business degree (undergraduate or graduate) and honors the former Grantham board member and early proponent of online education.
Valued at up to $40,077, each annual scholarship covers tuition costs, required textbooks, software and fees. The deadline to submit an application for either scholarship is November 6, 2018.
With one of the lowest tuition rates1 in the country, Grantham University strives to continually provide affordable, attainable education. Scholarships are integral to this mission, as evidenced by the university’s awarding of more than 5 million scholarship dollars in 2017.
